María Eugenia Talerico, former Vice President of the Financial Information Unit (UIF), spoke on Radio Rivadavia and shared her opinion on several current political topics, mainly the situation of Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni. She emphasized that the Adorni case is not the only one that has shaken the government. "There are things that don't add up, the schemes for extra salaries we Argentines already know, we saw it in the Menem era," she stated. Talerico called for the investigation to include the consulting firm of Adorni's wife (Bettina Angeletti). She expressed disappointment in the government, which promised to fight the 'caste', but, in her opinion, shows double standards. "This government has a lot to explain," she added. Talerico also commented on the actions of Judge Ariel Lijo in the Adorni case, noting that judges sometimes overreact and may be acting on internal government instructions. She also called for a review of large credits issued by the National Bank to ensure they were granted properly. In conclusion, she expressed hope that the government will change course, as Argentina is falling in international transparency indices.
